Nobody wroteany of it down.
The knowledge this house runs on was carried by people, not by documents. That is its strength and its fragility.
01 / The beginning
Land before a name.
Family ground, an isolated oasis, and a tree the desert barely allows.

There was no founding date, no first batch, no decision to start a business. There was land that produced a little honey each year, and a family that knew what to do with it.
The tree was not planted for a market. It was there, and it flowered, and the work organised itself around that fact.

02 / Transmission
Taught by being present.
Not a manual. A season, watched beside someone who had watched thirty of them.

When to move
Reading the bloom is not a date on a calendar. It is a judgement made on the ground, and it is learned by being wrong under supervision.
When to wait
The most common error is harvesting early. It costs quality that no later step can restore.
When to stop
Taking everything ends the season badly. Knowing what to leave is the part that is hardest to teach.
03 / The knowledge
What survives without paper.
Unwritten knowledge is exact, and it disappears with one generation.
This is the reason Nabseed measures. Not to replace the knowledge, which no laboratory can reproduce, but to give it a form that survives outside the people who carry it.
A pollen analysis does not know when to move the hives. It does confirm, afterwards, that the person who knew was right.

What is measured can be inherited by anyone. What is not measured is inherited by no one.Heritage · Nabseed
04 / Today
Why this exists now.
The market changed before the practice did.

Sidr became valuable enough to be worth faking, and no mechanism appeared to tell the difference. A family holding real ground and real knowledge had, for the first time, a reason to publish rather than simply to sell.
Nabseed is that decision. The honey is the first product. It is not the last thing this house will make, and the name was chosen so that it would not have to be.

We are drawn to what stands on its own,
comes from somewhere real,
and leaves
something behind worth keeping.
